Tier 1 Investor Visa UK

The Tier 1 (Investor) visa category is for high net worth individuals making a substantial financial investment in the UK. You must have access to at least £2,000,000 (£2 million) in investment funds to apply for Tier 1 Investor visa. If the money is not held in pounds sterling you must convert its value into pounds sterling on the application form. The Home Office, UKVI will check the conversion using the exchange rate shown on the Oanda website on the date on which the application was made.

If your application for Tier 1 Investor visa is successful, you will be granted entry clearance (UK visa) for an initial period of 3 years and 4 months. You can apply for an extension or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) under the accelerated route before the expiry of your initial Tier 1 Investor visa.


Start Up Visa UK

The start up visa category is for people seeking to establish a business in the UK for the first time. The start up visa category has replaced Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur visa category. Applicants are expected to have an innovative, viable and scalable business idea which has been assessed and supported by an approved endorsing body. In all cases applicants must provide a letter of endorsement from a Home Office approved endorsing body.


As a result of successful application as a start up migrant, the applicant will be granted leave to remain for 2 years and does not lead directly to settlement (ILR) in the UK, but applicants may progress into the innovator visa category which does lead to ILR after 3 years.

Global Talent Visa UK

Global Talent visa category is for talented and promising individuals in specific sectors wishing to work in the UK. ‘Talent’ applicants are already leaders in their respective field, while ‘promise’ applicants have shown the potential to become leaders in their field. Global talent visa category has replaced the Tier 1 Exceptional Talent visa category. By changes in Immigration Rules announced on 30 January 2020, the Home Office UKVI have introduced the new Global Talent visa category for talented and promising individuals who wish to work in the UK in the fields of:


  • Science
  • Digital technology
  • Arts and Culture

Whilst specific provisions are made for the science and research sector, the Global Talent category is also open to talented and promising applicants within the digital technology and arts and culture and architecture) sectors. Unlike its predecessor, the Global Talent category is not be subject to a cap on the number of applicants, ensuring migrants who can meet the qualifying criteria will be able to secure entry subject to successful visa checks.


Sole Representative

A sole representative is an employee of an overseas employer who intends to be the ‘sole representative’ of that employer in the UK. This individual must intend to establish a commercial presence in the UK by operating a registered branch or wholly owned subsidiary of that overseas business in the UK. This UK branch will be expected to operate the same type of business activity as its overseas parent.
You cannot switch into representative of an overseas business visa from inside the UK and the initial application can only be made through an entry clearance from outside the UK. As a result of successful application for entry clearance as a sole representative, the applicant is granted UK visa for a period of 3 years which can be further extended

Overseas Media Representatives Visa UK

This is an employee of an overseas media company, such as a newspaper, news agency, or broadcasting organisation, who is being posted by their employer on a long-term assignment in the UK. A media company can have more than one representative in the UK at the same time.
For both categories of applicant, the individual must have been recruited and employed outside of the UK, and must intend to work full-time for their employer whilst in the UK. It should be noted that the applicant must not be a majority shareholder of their employer’s business.
Should the application be successful, the applicant will be granted permission to enter and remain in the UK for up to three years, with the option to extend this leave for another two years. After this five-year period the applicant may wish to consider applying for indefinite leave to remain (“ILR”).
Encouragingly, successful applicants for this visa are allowed to bring dependants (such as a spouse and/or children under the age 18) to the UK with them. This will of course entail various financial requirements, not least because the applicant will not have recourse to public funds.

Innovator Visa UK

The UK Innovator visa is designed for experienced business people to set up an innovative business in the UK. Innovation means applicants have to demonstrate that they have a genuine, original business plan that meets new or existing market needs and/or creates a competitive advantage.The innovator visa grants you and your immediate family leave for 3 years, during which period you will build and grow your business. Based upon the progress made you may be eligible to apply for settled status after 3 years however if you are not available we can extend your visa for a further three years. The Innovator Migrants will have to provide the letter from the endorsing body at initial application, extension and ILR application stage in order to succeed in their applications.
